Walks and strolls in the forest

Explore the 150-hectare estate on a variety of walks to discover its natural treasures. Take advantage of the forest walks and venture into the 70 hectares of forest adjoining the Royal Forest of Loches which covers 3,500 hectares.

Whether you prefer walking, cycling or horse riding, the estate offers direct access to the paths. Immerse yourself in the tranquillity of nature and enjoy a day out in the great outdoors.

Cycling and biking

Cycling routes have been created from La Corroirie to link up with local, regional and European circuits, but we’re at the bottom of a basin, so you’ll need to pedal right from the start! Our region is well-suited to cycling, and you’ll find repair stations all over Sud Touraine.

Horses, ponies and even donkeys

We have been awarded the “Accueil Cheval” label and will help you organise your stay. You can park your horse in front of the windows of the Cardinale, Pastorale or Moniale rooms. There are many itineraries from La Corroirie. As the FFE (Fédération Française Equestre) and the ADT (Agence Départementale du Tourisme) have not put this information on equestrian routes and approved accommodation online, please contact us.
Many riding schools are our neighbours! So you can come without a horse and have a look with them.

Footing – Fitness trail

Just 1 km away, you’ll find a sports trail designed for outdoor joggers. This fitness trail is ideal for those who want to combine exercise with immersion in nature. By choosing this route, you can enjoy a jog in the forest that will allow you to recharge your batteries while staying active. Whether you’re a regular runner or you’re looking for a revitalising activity, this route will meet your expectations. An enjoyable experience in the heart of nature not to be missed.
Please note that work will be carried out on the Chemillé-sur-Indrois lake in 2025.

Fishing and swimming

Discover the pleasures of fishing at the Etang de La Corroirie, a 5-hectare area dedicated to water-based leisure activities. You can fish and swim on private land, offering a tranquil and exclusive experience. You can also enjoy natural swimming in a picturesque setting, far from the crowds and hustle and bustle. Whether you’re an avid angler or just looking for a moment of relaxation by the water, you’ll enjoy this serene, private environment.
Our pond has existed since the Middle Ages, and was created by the Carthusian monks! As a result, it is “founded in title”, as you can see on the Cassini map. This means that you can fish there without a fishing licence. The only requirement is “No Kill”: you fish and return your catch to the pond. We will be delighted to suggest a specialist to help you.
